Terrence Howard Wrote V. Bozeman’s New Song

It looks like some of Lucious’ musical talent isn’t just Terrence Howard acting. In the new episode “Without a Country”, V. Bozeman performs a new song called “Hourglass” which Howard actually co-wrote with Max Beasley. Empire fans will remember Bozeman’s incredible performance of “What is Love” from season 1, so hopes are high for this new project.

According to Billboard , Terrence Howard told V. Bozeman that he wrote this song at one of the lowest points in his life. “When he asked me to translate that emotion for him, I said, ‘You don’t have to tell me. I’m in.’ The song was created in a lower register but Terrence wanted it higher. Going full-blast and exercising my vocal muscles like that took me back to church,” Bozeman said.

The One-Upmanship Continues

Lucious Lyon is finally ready to step out of prison and reclaim his throne, but it doesn’t look like that will be as easy as it once was. With Jamal in charge and proving to be just as merciless as his father and his other children and wife out making their own go at the business, Lucious isn’t as powerful as he thinks he is. But never count out Lucious Lyon. Jamal is transitioning out of singing and into the management aspect of Empire, he’s becoming more like his father with every move — including kicking his mother and brother out. Additionally, appearances from Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, Andre Royo and Becky G will be made in the second episode of Empire, “Without a Country”.

Empire airs Wednesdays at 9pm on FOX.
