Brad Frost, R/GA web strategist has suggested the Retina Display of the new iPad will bring a revolution on the web. On his blog in an article, he stated that even if the web is already struggling with bloated downloads; designers would try their best to boost image resolution in order to aid the Retina Display-optimised apps. He further stated that users can be on slow 3G or Wi-Fi while travelling and might need to download some assets so they shouldn’t be punished with the slow download speed of a big Retina-ready image. They need to address this properly. Others have also shown concerns but also acknowledge the opportunity for changes.
