Are you ready for another twisted Julie Taymor take on Shakespeare? Disney has debuted the official trailer in blazing high def (via Apple ) for Julie Taymor’s The Tempest starring Helen Mirren , Russell Brand , Alfred Molina , Ben Whishaw , Chris Cooper , Alan Cumming , Djimon Hounsou and many others. Taymor’s movies always look so vivid and epic and extremely wild. I really want to see this because I love seeing Shakespeare’s dialogue thrown around in such visually imaginative concepts, I just hope it’s actually entertaining.

What does that guy and his baby, as seen above, have to do with Paranormal Activity 2 ? Ohhh you just wait and see! Even after sending out creepy viral videos and featuring multiple trailers with hidden footage, there’s yet another new trailer for Paranormal Activity 2 that has just debuted. Apple has debuted a full 62 second final theatrical trailer that actually teases the story, not just the gimmicky ghost scares, this time

Hell yes! Relativity has finally debuted an official trailer for Sngmoo Lee’s The Warrior’s Way , another one of those awesome hyper-stylized kung fu westerns that we actually featured an early promo trailer for last year. The Warrior’s Way stars Kate Bosworth, Danny Huston, Geoffrey Rush and Dong-Kun Jang as Yang. It mixes westerns, martial arts, and fantasy in a hyper-stylistic way, and looks pretty badass.

Are you ready for this?! A brand new trailer for Steven Antin’s new musical Burlesque starring Christina Aguilera and Cher (as well as Stanley Tucci) has debuted and can be seen below thanks to YouTube (via Vlicious ). This energetic trailer hops into things right away and gets groovin’ to some music, so be prepared to turn up (or maybe down if you’re at work) the volume. If you like big, sultry Pussycat Dolls-like musicals, you’re going to love this, but if not you’re going to hate it, so don’t get too upset. One thing I’ll say about this is that Cher still look pretty awful… but can I add that I totally love seeing Stanley Tucci in almost anything? Watch the first trailer for Steven Antin’s musical Burlesque : Burlesque is a contemporary musical where Aguilera plays an ambitious smalltown girl with a big voice who finds love, family and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club

“Once you look, it grabs hold.” Back in August, a few weeks after this upcoming movie picked quite a bit of buzz at Comic-Con, we debuted the initial teaser trailer for Colin and Greg Strause’s sci-fi thriller Skyline . Universal has just revealed the second full-length trailer on Apple with some actual good footage and a look at the story, which is set entirely around one apartment complex while the alien invasion attack occurs, but it still looks awesome. I’m a sucker for great sci-fi concepts and this one looks quite decent. I don’t think the effects look that great, to be honest, but as an epic low-budget sci-fi flick, I’m still impressed.

It’s a hell of a year for documentaries. Another one to add to your list of docs to see by the end of the year is Alex Gibney’s Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer , an investigative inside look at the downfall of former New York governor Eliot Spitzer, who resigned after a prostitution scandal in ‘08. Spitzer appears in Charles Ferguson’s Inside Job and I’ve heard some refer to Client 9 as an unofficial sequel to Inside Job , in that it looks at this story of what happened to him when he started to fight against the greedy CEOs who control Wall St. Magnolia debuted the official trailer on Apple and it looks damn good

This is the story of the terrorist known as Carlos the Jackal. If you haven’t heard about Carlos before, it’s a 5-hour epic biopic about Ilich Ramirez Sanchez , one of the most wanted terrorists on the planet. Between 1974 and 1994, he lived several lives under various pseudonyms, weaving his way through the complexities of international politics of that period

Where the hell did this come from? (That pun will make sense after you watch this.) Apple has debuted an official trailer for Philip Ridley’s Heartless , starring Jim Sturgess and Clémence Poésy . I actually do know about this film, as we featured a trailer for it earlier this year, but haven’t heard much about it since, mainly because IFC quietly picked it up and is opening it very limited this fall

Yet another candidate to replace The Twilight Saga upon its impending conclusion has manifested itself as Deadline reports director Kimberly Peirce ( Boys Don’t Cry , Stop-Loss ) has signed on to helm an adaptation of Meliisa Marr’s dark fantasy novel Wicked Lovely , the first in a whole series. The story follows Aislinn, a girl who has always seen faeries but followed her grandmother’s rules to ignore them at all costs. But suddenly the faeries are stalking her and she’s forced to confront them and their world that she’s feared all her life. Scary and dark, this isn’t the kind of “fairy tale” that audiences have seen many times before.
