Love Lives! Uh, is that Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler singing the Space Battleship Yamato theme? Why yes it is ! Our friends at Vlicious recently found this new video featuring a combo teaser (35 seconds long) and new trailer (100 seconds long) for the hugely epic Japanese live-action adaptation of the anime Space Battleship Yamato . We already featured another early trailer for this back in June , but this one has tons of insane new footage in it. I don’t know if there’s any real narrative to the footage, as if they just threw every visual effects shot that is finished into a blender and this is what we get. But I still want to see it, I totally love space epics! Indie Trailer Sunday: Crazy, Weird Genetics Sci-Fi Movie JIM

I just stumbled across this trailer last night on Apple and it is so frickin’ weird and entirely crazy in every sense (and every scene) that I just had to feature it as today’s indie trailer. The film is titled JIM , directed by Jeremy Morris-Burke , and has kind of an elaborate, expansive plot that I can’t really explain… But I can tell you it’s a sci-fi flick with some genetic research elements and other wacky things. One of the storylines (the other being set in the future ) is about a guy who decides to go to a bio-tech firm with his dead wife’s eggs to try and create an heir. And that’s just the start

Screen Gems has debuted the official trailer for their upcoming early 2011 cheesy teenage horror flick The Roommate starring a few hotties like Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly . I know there’s an audience for these kind of horror movies or they wouldn’t continue making them, but this just seems so much like The Stepfather or any of those teenage thrillers, and I just don’t care about them. Of course, everyone’s going to watch this because Meester and Kelly and everyone in it is so damn hot (and there’s a shower scene!) but I can still say it looks awful

New Trailer for Ron Howard’s Romantic Comedy The Dilemma

So this is what Ron Howard has been working on? From Angels & Demons to this romantic comedy piece of cra– I guess you guys should watch the trailer first and judge for yourself. Universal has debuted the first official trailer over on Apple for the Ron Howard directed romantic comedy of sorts The Dilemma starring Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Winona Ryder, Jennifer Connelly, Channing Tatum and Queen Latifah. So this isn’t really a romantic comedy, but it’s a confrontational/infidelity comedy and that’s pretty much the same. This doesn’t look terrible, but it just looks so painfully average, I’m surprised its from Ron Howard

Watch: ‘The Nutcracker 3D’ Official Trailer with Elle Fanning

I’m not really sure where this came from, but Awards Daily found a new official trailer for The Nutcracker 3D , Andrei Konchalovsky’s spectacular take on the classic Christmas story starring the likes of Elle Fanning, John Turturro, Nathan Lane and Charlie Rowe. This looks incredibly fantastical and very stylized, almost to the point where it might not be good, but I think it could be fun to watch. To be honest, this reminds me of Hook , with Konchalovsky twisting the classic Nutcracker story into his own wild vision.

“Out of order?! You’re out of order!” Casino Jack is the feature film version of the infamous Casino Jack and the United States of Money story ( watch the trailer for that doc ) that stars the always awesome Kevin Spacey as political lobbyist Jack Abramoff . I’m not sure how fictional this version is compared to the true story, but it looks great. I love the trailer, it’s such a perfect introduction to this flick. Spacey has a spark to him that not many other actors have and I love seeing him in this role, even if it is a little over-the-top, but screw it. Plus, I personally love the film versions of stories like this more than documentaries.

That photo above comes from one of the creepy hidden shots in the newly revised trailer for Paranormal Activity 2 . The first trailer for the sequel to the cult horror hit of last fall debuted back in June , but in the last few days, Paramount has quietly released another revised version of that exact same first trailer (via the official website ) that contains some tweaks and other scary Easter eggs, like that randomly freaky shot of the baby above (and second girl behind it!). MTV has a big list of the changes they found, but it obviously looks like the focus of this sequel is on the baby. Looks like they’re going all out on the creepiness in this sequel. Must Watch: Depp & Jolie Star in ‘The Tourist’ Official Trailer

Sony has finally debuted the official trailer ( on Yahoo ) for their highly anticipated winter film The Tourist starring both Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp as two “mysterious” individuals, as well as Paul Bettany, Rufus Sewell and Timothy Dalton. This is Sony’s sneaky sleeper hit release that they recently scheduled for December, but it looks like it might be quite good, even though it does look like a Hollywood blockbuster. I like the look of the whole film, Depp looks like he might be better than ever before, and I know there’s going to be some interesting twists and turns. Should be a great film to watch, can’t wait to see it! Check this out!
