Review of the Toshiba Qosmio F750 Autostereoscopic 3D Laptop

I was quite interested when Toshiba as announced earlier this year their 3D laptops using autostereoscopic 3D displays with face-tracking technology – the Qosmio F750 in Europe and Qosmio F755 for North America. Toshiba is among the first companies that release consumer-oriented 3D products with 3D displays that do not require the user to wear special 3D glasses in order to perceive the depth of the stereoscopic 3D image displayed on the screen. Toshiba’s solutions use Active Lens technology together with webcam-based Face tracking technology to re-adjust in real-time the stereo 3D image displayed for the best user experience.

Video content sharing site Dailymotion has launched rapid-response, on-demand content hubs featuring programmed collections of content based on trending topics in social media, search, events and breaking news–all in near real-time.

Our friends from HeyUGuys.co.uk have debuted the first full official trailer for John Landis’ new black comedy Burke and Hare starring Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis . This horror-comedy is based on a true story about two “grave robbers” who used to sell corpses to a medical college. It looks like a very entertaining period comedy and its even got Isla Fisher, Tom Wilkinson, Tim Curry and Christopher Lee appearing, too. I have to say – the accents threw me off at first, but I still think this looks great

Must Watch: Second Full Trailer for Universal’s Sci-Fi Skyline

“Once you look, it grabs hold.” Back in August, a few weeks after this upcoming movie picked quite a bit of buzz at Comic-Con, we debuted the initial teaser trailer for Colin and Greg Strause’s sci-fi thriller Skyline . Universal has just revealed the second full-length trailer on Apple with some actual good footage and a look at the story, which is set entirely around one apartment complex while the alien invasion attack occurs, but it still looks awesome. I’m a sucker for great sci-fi concepts and this one looks quite decent. I don’t think the effects look that great, to be honest, but as an epic low-budget sci-fi flick, I’m still impressed.

DreamWorks (Steven Spielberg’s productiong company, not the animation house) has debuted the first full teaser trailer for their upcoming epic sci-fi adaptation I Am Number Four directed by D.J. Caruso ( The Saltson Sea, Disturbia ). This stars Alex Pettyfer (also of Beastly ) as an alien from another planet being destroyed by a rival species. He comes to Earth and blends in as a high school student, but obviously the bad guys come find him. Pettyfer’s guardian on Earth was originally going to be Sharlto Copley but was replaced by Timothy Olyphant last minute

Must Watch: First Teaser Trailer for the Coen Bros’ True Grit!

Oh hell yes! Paramount has debuted the first badass teaser trailer for the Coen Brothers’ True Grit over on Apple and it’s awesome! True Grit is a new remake/re-adaptation of an old John Wayne western which was based on a Charles Portis novel . Jeff Bridges stars along with Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, Barry Pepper and newcomer Hailee Steinfeld as well as many more! I’ve been wondering when we’d actually get a first look at this, as some say it has the potential to be a huge Oscar contender, and I definitely think it does.

Creepy, Dark Love Story in the Final Official ‘Heartless’ Trailer

Where the hell did this come from? (That pun will make sense after you watch this.) Apple has debuted an official trailer for Philip Ridley’s Heartless , starring Jim Sturgess and Clémence Poésy . I actually do know about this film, as we featured a trailer for it earlier this year, but haven’t heard much about it since, mainly because IFC quietly picked it up and is opening it very limited this fall

Must Watch: Tom Hooper’s The King’s Speech Official Trailer

Get ready for your first look at this year’s Best Picture frontrunner. The Weinstein Company has debuted the official trailer for Tom Hooper’s The King’s Speech starring Colin Firth as King George VI as well as Geoffrey Rush, Helena Bonham Carter, Guy Pearce and Timothy Spall as Churchill. I had the chance to see this a week ago and totally loved it, one of my favorite films of the year and I truly believe that Firth will get the Oscar and that it has a very strong chance of winning Best Picture. This is a fantastic trailer to introduce you to the film and also give you a look at some of Danny Cohen’s gorgeous cinematography
