The Karate Kid is an upcoming 2010 martial arts film remake of the 1984 film of the same name and stars Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith . A single mother is forced to move to China with her young son because of work. In his new home, the boy (Smith) learns to stand up for himself by embracing Kung Fu, taught to him by an eccentric mentor (Chan).
