Check your Market now, because Facebook for Android just got an update! It is not necessarily a huge one but it does improve and bring a couple of features to the mobile app: Improved News Feed, Pages Support, and Video Upload. The News Feed has been improved in a sense that it will load more types of posts and open the posts natively in the app. Pages is also supported…sort of.

Galaxy S II to Sell More Units Than Droid Bionic?

Galaxy S II to Sell More Units Than Droid Bionic?

Mashwork, a social media listening firm, has apparently gathered some social data regarding both the Galaxy S II and the Droid Bionic, and the hype seems to be pointed toward the S II. Apparently, 68% of the group that Mashwork collected data from are interested in buying the Galaxy S II when it lands Stateside, while 32% are interested in shelling out the money for a Droid Bionic. So, underneath all the numbers and data mumbo jumbo, the Galaxy S II appears to be a better-selling device than the Bionic, even though both devices have yet to be released in the U.S. It seems that Samsung has a leg up on Motorola with this one, as more people want to buy the GS II. Now, this is only based on a small group of people, and it could change once both devices launch

Sprint to Continue Evo 3D Bloatware Policy With Future Devices

It would seem that one of the carriers has finally heard the cry for no bloatware, as Sprint is planning to continue the policy of allowing users to remove bloatware apps on future devices. This all started with the Evo 3D, when Sprint gave owners the option of uninstalling bloatware, such as the Sprint Nascar app, from the device without the need for root. Sprint apparently did this after getting customer feedback about bloatware on past Android devices, such as the Evo 4G and Epic 4G, and it looks like they’ll be continuing this policy for future devices.

Remember back in December, when Google’s Mobile Blog posted pictures and videos of a Nexus S tied to some weather balloons, floating around the Earth? Well, it looks like Samsung wants in on the fun, as they’ve launched a Galaxy S II into space atop a small astronaut, tied to a weather balloon.

Before I begin, I’d like to stress that this is an opinion piece, and doesn’t necessarily reflect the views of AndroidGuys. I’m just a grumpy 17-year-old voicing my thoughts. Now then, according to a recent study by WDS (isn’t it funny that it’s always a company we’ve never heard of that does these studies?), Android phones are four times more likely to have hardware issues than Blackberry devices.

A blog post hints at four of them with an image that shows half the face for each, accompanied by a title of “Heroes, Masked Avengers, Villains, Killer Robots”. According to dyzplastic, additional details are expected to arrive next week. We’re hoping these are part of a new series or at least something we can order at will. The limited edition collectibles are darn near impossible to procure!
